Today we stumbled upon the term “Lexophile," and the office has been filled with laughter! "Lexophile" describes those who have a love for words, displayed in phrases such as "You can tune a piano, but you can't tuna fish" or "To write with a broken pencil is pointless.” We are trying to come up with a fun one related to insurance. In the meantime, we thought we’d share some of our favorites with you. We hope they brighten you day as they have brightened ours!
He had a photographic memory but it was never fully developed. When a clock is hungry it goes back four seconds. A boiled egg is hard to beat. When you’ve seen one shopping center you’ve seen a mall. Bakers trade bread recipes on a knead to know basis. The roundest knight at King Arthur’s round table was Sir Cumference. Police were called to a day care, where a three-year-old was resisting a rest. Thieves who steal corn from a garden could be charged with stalking. When fish are in schools they sometimes take debate. The short fortune teller who escaped from prison was a small medium at large. A thief who stole a calendar… got twelve months. A thief fell and broke his leg in wet cement. He became a hardened criminal. Marathon runners with bad footwear suffer the agony of defeat. A chicken crossing the road is poultry in motion.
