Alexis “Lexy” Janda Knott is the Chief Executive Officer and co-owner of Group Benefits Designers, Inc. (GBD). As the external face of the company, Lexy is responsible for business development and marketing, which includes her proud membership in Business Network International (BNI). Lexy also serves as the CFO and oversees strategic planning.

Before joining GBD in 2017, Lexy worked in Higher Education Administration supporting students in various roles at The University of Maryland, Fordham University and George Washington University. In her final Higher Ed position at GWU, Lexy was responsible for Health Promotion and Prevention Services within the Colonial Health Center.

Prior to her career in Higher Education, Lexy spent 2 years at La Salle Manor, located in Plano Illinois. Lexy was on a team that lead spiritual retreats for high school and college students from Chicago and greater Illinois. After receiving her undergraduate degree, Lexy served a year as an AmeriCorps volunteer with the Sisters of Bon Secours in Baltimore Maryland, where she worked at Sisters Academy.

 

Lexy has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Creighton University and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Maryland.
